Pave the Way

From Parking Lots to Playgrounds

Pave the Way began as a bold step of faith; a campaign to raise $494,000 to repave and restore our parking lot, but God had more in store for us than we could ask or imagine.

Through the incredible generosity of the Grace Church family, $797,516 has been pledged toward the Pave the Way project so far.

Because of that faithfulness, we have been able to dream beyond the original need and invest in spaces that will impact generations to come.

About the Project

The Initial Ask

The initial ask of the Pave the Way campaign was simple but significant: to raise $494,000 to repave and restore our parking lot.

At Grace Church, we believe even something as practical as a parking lot can help people better access Jesus.

Over the years, our parking lot has fallen into a state of disrepair. Cracks, uneven surfaces, and aging pavement create challenges for families, guests, and those visiting our church for the very first time.

In fact, one focus group shared that the condition of our parking lot was one of the reasons they felt hesitant about visiting Grace Church.

That feedback challenged us.

We never want a physical barrier to keep someone from walking through our doors and encountering the love of Jesus.

The parking lot may seem like asphalt, but it represents something much deeper; removing barriers so people can encounter Jesus and experience the welcoming love of Grace Church.

If God Wants to Do More

But as we stepped forward together in faith, we also shared additional dreams for our campus if God chose to provide beyond the original need:
  • Renovating our Kids and Youth bathrooms — $150,000
  • Repainting the back of the building — $100,000
  • Building a new playground for our children and families — $250,000

Our Heart Behind the Project

Making Room for the Next Person

Pave the Way is not really about asphalt; it’s about people.
It’s about making room for the lives God is bringing to Grace Church and removing barriers so more people can experience the love of Jesus.

But this project is also about what God does in us as we step forward together in faith. As we pray, trust God, and give sacrificially, He grows us. Our faith deepens. Our trust increases.
And our love for God and people expands as we continue to see lives changed by the Gospel.

Pave the Way meets practical needs for our church, but it is also an opportunity for God to grow us spiritually as a church family.

Projects are About People

How Projects Grow Us

When we step into something like this together, God uses it to grow us spiritually.
Projects Grow Our Faith
As we pray about how to participate, we ask God to go before us. We trust that He is already preparing hearts and guiding our church.
Projects Grow Our Trust in God
When we give sacrificially, we place our resources in God’s hands and trust Him to provide for us. Giving becomes an act of worship.
Projects Grow Our Love for God and People
As God transforms our hearts, we begin to care more deeply about the mission of the church and the lives being changed by the Gospel. Projects meet practical needs, but they also grow our hearts as followers of Jesus.

Current Progress

We Asked. God Provided.

On May 17, Pastor Dan shared a special update about the Pave the Way project and the incredible faithfulness of our church family.

Because of your generosity and trust in God, our community has now pledged $797,516 toward the Pave the Way campaign, far beyond the original goal of $494,000.

What started as a project to restore our parking lot has become a testimony of God’s provision and the heart of our church to make room for the next person.

Praying for a Playground

We Believe God Wants to do Even More

One of the remaining dreams of this project is creating a brand-new playground for the children and families of Grace Church.

Right now, our current playground literally has a “Play at Your Own Risk” sign posted on it. While it has served families for many years, we believe our kids deserve better. We want to create a safe, welcoming, and joy-filled space that reflects how much we value the next generation.

More than equipment, this playground represents connection, laughter, discipleship, and creating memories for years to come.
So far, $43,516 has been pledged toward the playground project,

we are $206,484 away from bringing this dream to life.

We are prayerfully asking our church family to consider making a second one-time pledge to help us cross the finish line together.

Your Next Step

We are inviting everyone who calls Grace Church home to take three simple steps.

1. Pray

Take time to talk with God about your role in the Pave the Way project. Ask Him how He might lead you to participate.

2. Pledge

Once you have prayed and sensed how God is leading you, make your pledge. Your pledge helps us plan the project and move forward together as a church.

3. Give

Follow through on what God has placed on your heart—your faithful giving turns your pledge into impact, helping make room for the next person to encounter Jesus.
